MLO 6 Reflective Narrative:
In other classes, the only technological components that were required of the students was a powerpoint, or some other type of multimedia presentation. However, Capstone is the only class that has enforced more than just a presentation to showcase our knowledge and progress of work. With the capstone presentations in form of powerpoint, we were also assigned to make an e-portfolio, to showcase how the classes we have taken in order to obtain a degree in Spanish helped up or how we benefited from it.
An e-portfolio is not only gathering documents from different classes but also arranging it in a way that we could show this to future employers and they could understand the layout and the format of the website. By using different sections to show different areas of growth and improvement, it was easy to show how they contributed to our learning.
This is the first time that I have hearfd o f a class requiring such a format to showcase work. I think it is a great idea because it forces students to go back and think about what they learned in each class, and what was the most important thing that they will take away from it. It also gave me the tools to build a basic website, which could be a requirement for different job fields.
